About Kylie

I'm Kylie Long, Founder and Principal Consultant of Support & Safety Solutions, an independent WHS and psychosocial risk consultancy based in Brisbane's northside.

As a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of healthcare experience and postgraduate qualifications in occupational health and safety, I bring a unique combination of clinical knowledge, WHS expertise and practical industry experience.

I've worked across healthcare, aged care, construction, resources, rail, manufacturing, professional services and government, giving me a broad understanding of how risks arise and are managed in different workplaces.

Why I Established Support & Safety Solutions

I believe effective workplace safety goes beyond having policies, procedures and risk registers in place.

What matters is whether those arrangements reflect how work is actually performed and whether risk controls are implemented and effective.

I established Support & Safety Solutions to help organisations look beyond the paperwork, identify gaps and make informed decisions about practical improvements.

My approach considers the whole picture, people, work design, leadership, governance, operational practices and the interaction between physical and psychosocial risks.

I focus on understanding systemic issues, not assigning blame.

Who I Work With

I support established Queensland organisations, particularly those in the Moreton Bay and Brisbane region employing approximately 100–500 workers, including construction contractors, subcontractors and multi-site businesses.

Working alongside executives, operational leaders and existing teams, I provide independent systems reviews, psychosocial risk assessments, onsite verification and practical improvement recommendations.

My role is to bring an objective perspective, specialist expertise and additional capacity when needed.

Based in Brisbane. Supporting Queensland Businesses.

Based in Brisbane's northside, I provide onsite WHS consulting across Moreton Bay and Brisbane, together with desktop and virtual reviews. Other Queensland locations may be considered by arrangement.
